How to stop blowing off your debt

Now is the time to review your numbers.

How many times will you say “I wish”? I wish I had your money. I wish I could pay off my debt faster. I wish I had known how important investing in my own future can be. Here’s a piece of good advice: STOP wishing and start moving. Hope doesn’t bring anything closer than if you just forgot about it.

Today, it’s just wishful thinking and no planning. We have all become used to accepting the way things are, because we do not want to be afraid of failure. We’ve put off our goals, dreams and even our daily duties because, well, life is a lot. I get it. I feel overwhelmed, too. Debt can make stress feel like an overwhelming weight on your chest.

Even more difficult is to pay off debts because it has become normal to get something as soon as you want it, rather than having to wait. You don’t want wait any longer than you have to if you can’t get it right now. Money and success take time.

Here are a few tips that will help you to stop wishing financial success, and instead start taking action.

1) TAKE RISE

When I mentioned to my dad how I felt about the salary cap, he gave me some excellent advice. He said that he felt the same way in his 20s and left that job. He worked hard to get a lower-paying job in a different field. He switched fields because the income, quality of life, and risk were better.

We become so comfortable with our stability and benefits that we overlook the risk of staying in a job with a stagnant income. There is no rule that says you can’t keep your job and look for another job, especially if looking for a job feels like a burden. Sometimes, the risks are worth it.

2) DIVE IN HEADFIRST TO YOUR DEBT

It should be obvious, but it’s important to take action if you are sick of debt. You’re not the only one who is struggling with debt. You deserve financial stability. You can change your life for the better. Now try saying the same things to yourself.

Face the fear and anxiety of this reality by diving headfirst.

3) PUSH THE NUMBERS TO THE FRONT

Who will make sure that you see your goals every day? You can subconsciously forget something if you ignore it for a long time. Financial denial can be very real. But eventually, the problems that you have been trying to avoid will come back. You have forced yourself to an uncomfortable situation when you can no longer ignore it. Show them that you are in control by embracing their fears.

You can write it on your calendar, stick a post-it note on your fridge, or put a reminder on your mirror. You will only need motivation if you can remember to do it and why.

4) ACCEPT THE TIME IT TAKES

No matter how much you Google, you are unlikely to find a solution that will erase your debt, or an alt-coin to send your money into the moon. Patience can be the most valuable lesson we learn during debt repayment.

Plan your budget with a realistic time frame and understand that the best way to pay off your debt is to automate your payments, add as much extra money to your bills and wait.

5) MAKE TIME TO DO IT

You probably use it every day. In reality, I can make the time to do this value . I was once told that people are good at deceiving themselves. Is this true? Our minds are so powerful that we can make ourselves believe anything. We are all capable of doing anything with our minds.

You can find time for something that is important to you. Prioritizing is the answer if you’re unable to. What is the most important thing you need to achieve your goals today? To be financially successful you need to determine what’s more important.
