What purchases will you consider “worth it” in 2020?

Give yourself space to breathe and be a human being, not a money-saving machine

My husband and I bought our first home in 2019 after 10 years of renting. We avoided anything that was related to maintenance or home upkeep when we were renting, mainly because these items require a certain permanence and take up a great deal of space. In the last six months, however, our buying habits have changed dramatically. We now buy items that make life as a homeowner easier and more enjoyable.

Enjoying purchases that you cannot wear on your body or face. You can enjoy purchases you can’t wear on your face or body. I think it’s a great win.

REALISTIC BUYING SHOULD TRUMP IMPULSE BUYING

Last year, I spent a considerable amount of money on things that were not entirely helpful to my personal goals. It’s a great time to review your finances and see what you can do to achieve your goals. Maybe it’s the right time to buy a bullet journal if you want to stay organized. You may want to focus on your health and invest in a meal planning guide or spin bike. If you are looking to achieve something, buying a product that is realistic will increase your chances of success.

Pre-order my new book if you want to save money in 2020. It’s out April 7th, but is available now.

As soon as 2020 arrived, I sat down and created a spreadsheet with all the things that I wanted to buy this year. They weren’t expensive but they would make a huge difference in our home, professional goals or personal happiness. So far, I’ve got some laptop accessories and kitchen organization needs. And a new iPad. By preparing myself for these costs, I am able to control my impulse purchases and avoid buying unnecessary items.

WHAT WAS IT THAT I BOUGHT LAST YEAR?

Choose a few categories to help you control your spending this year. If you make an impulse buy that does not fit into your categories, it may not be the best purchase for you. This tool will help you make tough decisions easier and more productive.

SET PERSONAL AND FINANCIAL AIM SEPARATELY

We all want to pay off debt or save money, but we also need to work on personal growth, which is not related to finances. What are the three things that you would like to achieve each morning, before you begin your workday? One of your goals may require you to purchase a one-year membership for your favorite meditation app.

If you allow yourself to be a human being, rather than just a machine that saves money, then your chances of financial success are much higher.

I spent New Year’s Day sorting out my goals by personal, professional, and family-related categories. I was able to take the time to reflect and understand how to achieve each goal. It depends on the people who will be affected by my success.

You can consider any purchase that will help you improve yourself in 2020 as a worthwhile one.
